President Donald Trump made headlines Thursday by signing an executive order to declassify files tied to the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. “That’s a big one. A lot of people have been waiting for this for years, for decades,” Trump said during the signing in the Oval Office.

The move comes after years of public demand for transparency surrounding these historic events. While many JFK-related documents have already been released—including 13,000 files during the Biden administration—some remain heavily redacted.
