In his first TV interview from the Oval Office, former President Donald Trump made waves with his comments on a range of hot-button issues. Speaking with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, Trump didn’t hold back, touching on everything from potential investigations into President Joe Biden to TikTok and California’s wildfires.
One of the standout moments came when Trump was asked if he’d support an investigation into Biden. While he didn’t give a straight “yes,” he didn’t rule it out either. “I think we’ll let Congress decide,” he said. He also took a dig at Biden’s decision to pardon certain individuals, suggesting it was “sad” that Biden didn’t issue a pardon for himself.
Trump also weighed in on the TikTok debate. Despite concerns about the app’s Chinese ownership and data privacy risks, he brushed it off. “Is it that important for China to be spying on young people watching crazy videos?” he joked. He even hinted that TikTok might find a way to stay in the U.S., saying, “A lot of people want to buy it.”
California’s wildfires didn’t escape his attention either. Trump criticized Governor Gavin Newsom’s response and suggested the state shouldn’t receive federal aid unless it changes its water policies. He blamed California’s water management for worsening the fires, though experts have disputed this claim.
The interview was packed with Trump’s signature mix of criticism and controversy, ensuring it’ll stay in the news cycle for days to come.
