The brand-new Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) delivered its most exciting match yet this Monday, with Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links snagging a dramatic 4-3 overtime win against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common. The nail-biting showdown kept fans on the edge of their seats until the very last shot.

The match was tied 3-3 after an incredible 31-foot birdie putt by Boston’s Adam Scott on Hole 14. The decider came down to a nearest-the-pin shootout, where Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner clinched the victory for Jupiter Links—marking the first-ever overtime win in TGL history.

“This is exactly what we envisioned for TGL,” Woods said after the match. “It was an amazing display of golf and fun banter. Everyone—players and fans—was fully into it, and I hope the viewers at home felt the same.”

The TGL, co-founded by Woods and McIlroy, pits teams of three against each other across 15 holes at the SoFi Center in Florida. Players tee off and hit approach shots into simulators before moving to real greens, with one point awarded for each hole won.

McIlroy, though on the losing side, praised the match. “It was a great night of golf, back and forth, and just what the league needed,” he said. “Our goal was to engage a younger audience with a fast-paced, exciting version of golf, and it seems to be working.”

The match had its share of highlights, including a strategic move by Boston to use the “Hammer”—a rule that doubles a hole’s points—which Jupiter declined, handing the point to Boston. Jupiter bounced back with a birdie on Hole 6, but a rare shot-clock violation by Woods on Hole 10 gave Boston the lead again. The drama peaked on Hole 14 with Scott’s clutch putt, sending the match into overtime.

With this win, Jupiter Links improves to 1-1 after a tough loss in their first game. They’ll face New York Golf Club on February 18, while Boston Common takes on Los Angeles Golf Club on February 5.
