The Tomorrow’s Golf League (TGL) delivered its most exciting match yet on Monday, as Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links team clinched a 4-3 overtime win against Rory McIlroy’s Boston Common. The nail-biting finish marked the league’s first foray into extra holes, and it certainly lived up to the hype.

The drama unfolded when Adam Scott of the Boston Common sank a jaw-dropping 31-foot birdie putt on Hole 14 to tie the score at 3-3. But in the nearest-the-pin shootout that followed, Jupiter’s Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner stepped up to secure the win for Woods’ squad.

“This is exactly what we dreamed of for TGL,” Woods said after the match. “The action, the energy, the crowd—it was all incredible. We’re thrilled to deliver such an exciting experience.”

The TGL, co-founded by Woods and McIlroy, features teams of three competing across 15 holes at the SoFi Center in Florida. Players tee off into simulators before tackling real-life greens, making for a unique and fast-paced format. Each hole won earns a point, and ties leave the score unchanged.

The match was a rollercoaster from start to finish. After the first two holes ended in ties, Boston Common took the lead by playing the “Hammer”—a strategic move that doubles a hole’s points—which Jupiter declined. The Links bounced back, but a rare shot clock violation by Woods on Hole 10 gave Boston another point.

The tide turned again when Kim’s stellar tee shot on Hole 12 put Jupiter ahead. Scott’s clutch putt on Hole 14 tied it up, sending the game into overtime, where Kim and Kisner sealed the deal for Jupiter.

With this win, the Jupiter Links improve to 1-1 after a rough start to the season. They’ll face New York Golf Club next on February 18. Meanwhile, McIlroy’s Boston Common will take on Los Angeles Golf Club on February 5 in their second outing.
