Pam Shriver, one of tennis’ all-time greats, has some good news to celebrate—her stolen grand slam trophies have finally been found! The Hall of Famer shared the update in a post on X, revealing that local police now have the recovered awards in their possession.
Earlier this year, Shriver had to evacuate her Los Angeles-area home due to nearby wildfires. While staying in a hotel, she stored several of her prized trophies in a car for safekeeping. Unfortunately, the vehicle—a black Dodge Durango Hellcat—was stolen, leaving Shriver without her cherished mementos.
“We still hope to find the black Dodge Durango Hellcat in one piece,” Shriver wrote in her post alongside the news of the trophies’ discovery.
Shriver’s career is nothing short of legendary. With 21 grand slam doubles titles under her belt—20 of those won alongside Martina Navratilova—and a mixed doubles win in 1987, her trophies represent decades of hard work and success. After hearing the update, Navratilova chimed in on X, writing, “That is just awesome!!!! Well done the Police!!!”
Shriver, clearly overjoyed, replied, “Today feels like we won another major!”
The tennis star has since returned to her home in Brentwood, and while the search for the missing vehicle continues, the recovery of her trophies is a major win. Shriver’s collection includes seven Australian Open titles, five Wimbledon titles, five US Open titles, and four French Open victories in women’s doubles, along with a mixed doubles win at the French Open.
Here’s hoping the rest of her belongings make their way back to her soon!
