Gerber Recalls Teething Sticks Over Choking Risk

Gerber has decided to recall its popular “Soothe N Chew” teething sticks after concerns emerged that the product could be a choking hazard for young kids. The move comes after reports of incidents where babies and toddlers had trouble with the sticks, including one case that led to an emergency room visit.

The teething sticks, designed to ease the discomfort of teething, were sold both online and in stores across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. In a statement, Nestle USA, Gerber’s parent company, shared that they’re working closely with the FDA to handle the recall. They also apologized for any stress or inconvenience this might cause parents and caregivers.

The recall covers all batches of the Soothe N Chew sticks, which come in two flavors: strawberry-apple and banana. If you’ve purchased these products, you can return them to the store where you bought them for a full refund.

For parents concerned about teething solutions, it’s always a good idea to stay updated on product safety news and check for alternatives that might be safer for little ones.
