The University of Florida has wrapped up its investigation into men’s basketball coach Todd Golden, finding no evidence to support allegations of sexual exploitation, harassment, and stalking. The four-month probe, conducted under Title IX guidelines, concluded this week.

“After a thorough review, including multiple interviews, no evidence was found to suggest Coach Golden violated Title IX,” the university stated. School officials emphasized their commitment to fairness and due process throughout the investigation.

Golden, who has been leading the Gators through their best season in years, expressed frustration earlier this month about the public nature of the allegations. “I’m disappointed that a process meant to protect confidentiality has been misused,” he said. He also hinted at possible legal action against those who made the claims.

The allegations, first reported in November, accused Golden of inappropriate behavior, including sending explicit photos and making unwanted advances. Despite the accusations, Golden maintained his focus on coaching, earning praise from the University Athletic Association (UAA) for his professionalism.

“We commend Coach Golden for handling this situation with integrity,” the UAA said in a statement. The association also reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining a respectful and supportive environment for its athletes and staff.

Golden, who signed a contract extension last year, earns $4 million annually and has led the Gators to a strong record during his tenure. His contract explicitly prohibits relationships between coaches and student-athletes, emphasizing the university’s strict standards.

Meanwhile, a separate Title IX case involving assistant coach Taurean Green is still ongoing. Green is accused of inappropriate conduct with an athletic department employee. The woman involved reportedly came forward after being questioned about Golden’s case, raising concerns about potential patterns within the program.

As Golden and the Gators move forward, fans and supporters have rallied behind the team, which remains a strong contender this season. For now, the coach’s focus is back on the court, with hopes of leaving this chapter behind.
