Black Eyed Peas Cancel Las Vegas Residency Due to 'Current Circumstances'
Fans of the Black Eyed Peas will have to wait a bit longer to see the iconic group live in Las Vegas. The band recently shared some disappointing news on social media, announcing the cancellation of their highly anticipated residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino’s PH Live.
“To our dearest Peabodies,” the group posted on Instagram, “It’s with a heavy heart that, due to current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows won’t be happening as planned. Refunds will be handled automatically, so stay tuned for updates on future performances. We can’t wait to see you again!”
The residency, titled “The 3008 Space Odyssey,” was supposed to kick off in mid-February and run through May. The trio—will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap, and Taboo—had promised a fresh, futuristic live show experience, something they’re known for pushing the boundaries on.
This cancellation comes as a surprise, especially since the group had joined the ranks of other big-name artists like Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, and Shania Twain, who’ve all had successful Vegas residencies.
While the exact reason for the postponement isn’t clear, the band assured fans they’ll be back with more updates soon. For now, fans can only hope for a new set of dates to catch the Black Eyed Peas in action.
Stay tuned for more details as they come in!
